We have your 2023 guide to Thanksgiving meals in the area to celebrate the holiday.

Thanksgiving Meals

The DoubleTree by Hilton has reservations available for their traditional all-you-can-eat buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Mary Ross, the Director of Catering for the DoubleTree, told why this is important to host every year.

“It just brings families together. You know, it keeps us really busy here, but we get to host some of the most amazing people in Jackson and people who have came in to visit families who can’t cook,” Ross said.

And if you are on a budget but have a few extra canned goods, stop in at Nana’s Taste and See and Mayra’s Café in Selmer for a free community Thanksgiving dinner.

The menu includes chicken and dressing, corn, green beans, and more.

“I can tell a lot of families enjoy coming to help and a lot of people come in and just to eat cause some people don’t have families. Some don’t have money to make meals for their families so we just try to give back,” said Mayra Reyes, the owner of Mayra’s Café.

There will also be restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day for those that want a non-traditional dinner and just want the time together with family

Some of those include Fuji Yama and TGI Fridays, as well as IHOP, Cracker Barrel and Brooksie’s Barn.
