JPD: No charges to be filed after pedestrian struck

The following is an unedited news release sent to WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News by the Jackson Police Department:

“On 11/22/23 at approximately 1330hrs, The Jackson Police Department officers responded to a call of a pedestrian being struck in the southbound lanes of the 900 block of S. Highland Ave. After interviewing eyewitnesses and the preliminary on-scene investigation, the Jackson Police Department will not be filing charges on the driver of the vehicle involved. The investigation into this incident is considered complete and there will be no further investigation at this time.”
