UPDATE (12/01/23): Husband charged with murder after body discovered at Summer Drive

UPDATE (11/28/23): RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:

On November 27th, 2023, at approximately 4:45 pm, the Jackson Police Department received a call for a welfare check at a residence on Summar Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased female inside a car parked at the address. The investigation into the death is ongoing, but there is no danger to the public at this time. EARLIER STORY:

JACKSON, Tenn. – WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News received a call around 6:45 p.m. regarding several police units at a home on Summar Drive.

Our news team arrived at the scene and saw an ambulance arriving on the scene with a stretcher.

After paramedics entered the property, they returned with what appeared to be a body on the stretcher.

We have reached out to the Jackson Police Department who say that the incident is under investigation.
