1 dead in wreck on Riverside Drive, Sheriff’s Office confirms

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A single-vehicle crash leaves one dead in Madison County.

According to a release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck occurred Tuesday morning in the 2600 block of Riverside Drive.

The release states MCSO responded around 10:50 a.m.

The Sheriff’s Office says that preliminary information indicates the vehicle was traveling northbound on Riverside Drive, when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the factors leading to the crash.

Authorities have not released the identity at this time, out of respect for the sensitivity of the situation.
