U.S. Army takes trophy in LIFELINE’s Battle of the Armed Forces drive
JACKSON, Tenn. — Every drop makes a difference — especially when it adds up to 91 units of donated blood!
273 lives were impacted by this year’s Battle of the Armed Forces Blood Drive by LIFELINE Blood Services.
The U.S. Army won for the second time in a row.
They won by just one pint, and donated a total of 28 units.
Their trophy presentation was held at noon Tuesday at the U.S. Army Recruiting Office in Jackson.
“We always like to be a part of the community and actually give back, you know, so donating a little blood, you know, it’s not a big deal, you know, and it’s something that can help, you know, the community and, you know, everybody out there,” said Staff Sergeant Chad Hornsby, U.S. Army.
LIFELINE Marketing Manager Melinda Reid reminds us that our local patients are the true winners, and encourages everyone to donate blood as we enter this season of giving.
