Hardin County gears up for holiday season with several activities upcoming

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — With the month of December almost here, Christmas activities kick into full gear.

December 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, and 15th are the dates for Christmas on Main in downtown Savannah.

There will be ice skating, visits from Santa, movies in the historic theater and more. It’s from 5 to 8:30 p.m. each night.

On December 8th and 9th is the “Christmas in the Park” at Pickwick Landing State Park.

There will be more than 60 vendors, carriage rides, light displays, and more fun activities. The times are Friday from noon to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 10 in the morning to 9 that evening.

All activities are free.

“We really want to make sure that as we turn our town from one end to the other into a giant Hallmark movie, that we’re really giving people Christmas and time with their families to enjoy right here in Hardin County,” said DeLaney Timberman, Executive Director, Hardin County Chamber of Commerce.

Additional events:

  • Dec. 1 – Counce/Pickwick Christmas Parade at 7 p.m.
  • Dec. 2 – Saltillo Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Christmas Parade at 5 p.m.
