UPDATE (12/14/23): Legros murder charge bound over to Madison County Grand Jury

JACKSON, Tenn. — In a follow up to the incident on Summer Drive this week, police have confirmed a man has been arrested for murder.

According to the Jackson Police Department, 49-year-old Michael Legros has been charged with first degree murder.

A press release shared by JPD on Friday states that officers were dispatched to 168 Summar Drive around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, for a welfare check on 41-year-old Katazryna Legros.

JPD says that she had not been seen or heard from for around three days at the time, and there was concern for her well-being.

According to JPD, officers arrived at the residence and discovered her deceased body lying in the back seat of a vehicle behind the residence.

JPD says that soon after arriving, officers took Michael Legros — Katazryna’s husband — into custody at that location.

JPD shared that the investigation determined Katazryna had been strangled to death by her husband.

Michael Legros was formally arraigned in Jackson City Court Friday morning.
