Members of the Hub City gathered to light a special Christmas tree

JACKSON, Tenn.— Families in the Hub City gathered Saturday afternoon to honor the lives of their late children.

“Heaven’s Cradle” is an organization that offers community to families who have lost a baby before or postpartum.

After the tree lighting ceremony, families can then add the Christmas ornaments onto the tree.

Families had the option of bringing their own ornaments or were provided some.

The ornaments can have the name of the late loved one or even a message.

This is the 8th year for this event and each year they make sure it’s special for families.

“The holidays are just so hard, that it’s good to come together and just take the time to remember and know that we are not alone in this loss and in time,” said Ashby Scott, board member of Heaven’s Cradle.

The memorial event also had coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and music for families who attended.
