Jackson Theatre Guild rehearses for ‘A Christmas Story’
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Theatre Guild is rehearsing for a holiday performance.
Rehearsals were underway Tuesday night for the upcoming performance of “A Christmas Story.”
The play is based on the 1983 motion picture movie by Warner Brothers following 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas.
Director Billy Worboys tells us it’s a performance you won’t want to miss.
“A lot of people are hesitant. They say well it can’t possibly be like the movie. I like the movie. I don’t wanna ruin it. Trust me. You won’t miss anything from the movie. All the iconic scenes are here. They’re played out. We have a brilliant cast, young and old. It’s just a ton of fun,” Worboys said.
Showings will be held at The Ned in downtown Jackson on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and matinee shows on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
