Cupcakes and Conversations with Queens connects pageant queens, students
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A special event was held Wednesday to provide young girls with role models who have a passion for making a difference in their community.
Cupcakes and Conversations with Queens brought together five local pageant queens to Humboldt to speak to fourth through sixth-grade girls from East Elementary.
During the event, the queens spoke about their platforms, which covered topics such as bullying, breast cancer, healthy bodies, and being comfortable in your own skin.
Jada Brown is a Miss Tennessee Volunteer and also serves as Gov. Bill Lee’s spokesperson for character education.
“So today I just talked a little bit about my story when I was a child, and I shared how important it is to care about yourself first before you can care about others,” Brown said.
Brown reminded the girls to care about themselves and love themselves, but also left them with an important takeaway.
“We all have a unique purpose, and diversity makes everyone beautiful,” Brown said.
In addition to the inspiring conversations, the pageant queens crowned the first-ever Little Miss Cupcake.
“Give it up for your new Queen Jada! Look at that catwalk. You go, girl,” Brown said.
By sharing their experiences, the queens hope to inspire young girls to become confident and compassionate leaders who make a positive impact in their lives and community.
