3 vehicle crash reported along Interstate 40

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A three vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 40 on Friday.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the three vehicle crash took place around the 66 Mile Marker with no life-threatening injuries taking place. This was near the Madison-Haywood County line.

The THP says there were secondary crashes in the traffic backup.

They want to remind drivers to seek alternative routes to provide extra time during travel and to be cautious when driving around emergency crews.
