Jacqueline “Jacky” Nielsen Dunn, age 89, resident of Grand Junction, Tennessee and wife of the late Thomas Sterling “Tom” Dunn, departed this life Friday morning, December 15, 2023 at National HealthCare Center in Somerville, Tennessee.
Jacky was born September 26, 1934 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of the late Svend Hugo Nielsen and Kathryn Thompson Nielsen. She moved with her family at an early age and graduated from Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee. She was most recently a resident of Grand Junction and was a member of First Baptist Church in Grand Junction. Jacky enjoyed reading, flowers and watching birds.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by three daughters, Kathi Dunn Johnson (Mark), Cindy Lou Dunn and Katy Pat Dunn; her brother, James “Jim” Nielsen; two grandchildren, Deena Gail Chute (Josh) and Wes Growth (Laurel); and two great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Dunn will be at 1 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2023 at New Bethel Cemetery in Rossville, Tennessee. The officiating minister will be Bro. Troy Styers, pastor of First Baptist Church in Grand Junction.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
