Families gather for good food and holiday traditions
JACKSON, Tenn.—Yum! Yum Yum! One buffet filled bellies this morning with some of your favorite foods.
Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store hosted their annual breakfast this morning.
They were filled to capacity with hungry and excited customers.
We spoke to Brooks Shaw, who as of today, is the new President of Old Country Store, and he stated that this event excites him every year.
“It’s definitely an interesting experience. We’re really glad to announce our new General manager, Ashley King, whose gonna be replacing me and getting to celebrate that with our staff. We have about 50 people working here today,” Shaw said.
Shaw stated that he has worked at the store since he was able to walk but has been on the payroll for 18 years.
And he plans to continue to grow the family business.
“We’ve got a lot of big ideas and the title that comes with it is something that will enable me to execute those big ideas in the future,” Shaw said.
This event has become a tradition not only for families, but for Brooks and his family as well, to come together and enjoy a hot meal.
“My daughter will be here in a couple of hours and my mom and my sister and my lovely wife and my in-laws and so I’ll take a quick break and sit down with them for a few minutes to be able to enjoy breakfast myself too,” Shaw said.
Ashley Horton, along with her husband Alex, a loyal customer, formed a group to come and eat annually for breakfast.
“It’s all about being with family and friends, just enjoying each others company because we’re never promised tomorrow,” Horton said.
Meals were endless at Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store, where they had bacon, ham, eggs, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, you name it. “Whoo, I am hungry! What about you?”
Shaw would like to thank the Bramblett Group, who they have been on a public relations retainer with for two years.
