Special service celebrates the true meaning of Christmas

JACKSON, Tenn.—A service was held to pay homage to the the true meaning of Christmas.

Poplar Church hosted their candlelight service this evening.

This event was to remind lovers of God that it’s not about the gifts under the tree, but the greatest gift that sacrificed his life.

The congregation sang hymns and listened to scriptures that remind them of the season.

“I really loved to love the members in the church, cause a lot of times when you’re just a member, you just go and are like yeah I’m here for my Sunday fill, or my Wednesday fill, but when you’re leading, you really learn to love your people,” said Pastor Adren Pearce, Poplar Church.

Candles were lit at the end as the pastor said a closing prayer.
