Possible body located in pond in Decatur County
UPDATE (1/3/24): Body found near Parsons identified as missing man
EARLIER STORY:
DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office says they have found what appeared to be a body in a pond.
Wednesday around 2 p.m., a report came in of an unidentified object in a pond around two miles north of Parsons.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office arrived, secured the scene, and found what they say appeared to be a body.
They say that they contacted both the district attorney and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The sheriff says that the investigation was turned over to the TBI.
