100 Black Men of West Tennessee hold 30th annual Scholarship Benefit Gala

Friday evening, the 100 Black Men of West Tennessee organization hosted the 30th annual ‘Holiday Splendor’ Scholarship Benefit Gala.
Guests enjoyed a bar, food, and live dance music. Proceeds from this gala supported multiple scholarships to young men in college.
After graduating high school, those who have been in the program are now eligible for the scholarships to attend college.
“We started with young men when they were line 5th or 6th grade and have been following through their graduation right..going on to college. And if they graduate and are accepted to a high institution, they will receive their scholarship in an amount up to $1,000 a semester for their four years of matriculation,” said Dr. Jerry Woods, President of the 100 Black Men of West Tennessee, Inc.
The ‘100 Black Men’ organization says it’s thankful for all of their sponsors and patrons.
