Crockett County man facing 7 felony charges
CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. – A man wanted in Crockett County was arrested and now faces seven felony charges.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office issued an armed and dangerous alert on Facebook regarding Preston Young, 42, of Friendship.
The alert came after deputies responded to a call Thursday night when a woman reported an altercation that allegedly led to multiple shots fired inside and outside of her home.
Investigators say Young threatened law enforcement and fled his home in a vehicle onto farmland leading out to Bob Bailey Road.
According to the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office, Young jumped out of the vehicle. He was driving close to Siloam Road and fled into the woods without a shirt or shoes.
When officers returned to the original scene, Young appeared from the woods and was taken into custody without incident.
“The case is actually still being investigated, so there could be more warrants,” said Crockett County Sheriff Troy Kylce.
Young faces seven felony charges including three counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and evading arrest.
According to the sheriff, Young also has warrants out of Missouri on a drug conviction.
