Hub City resident celebrated for upcoming 104th birthday
JACKSON, Tenn.–A Hub City resident is getting ready to mark a special occasion.
Friday, Claribel Herndon was honored during a reception at Jackson Oaks Senior Living Community….and for good reason.
This Sunday, Ms. Herndon will celebrate 104 years of life. She worked as a nurse at the Jackson Clinic for 25 years.
Mayor Scott Conger honored her with an official proclamation marking this Sunday as ‘Claribel Herndon Day’ in Jackson.
She says her best advice is to stay productive, stay positive and follow Jesus.
“God has been good to me to live this long and I thank him every morning when I put my feet on the floor. I sure do,” said Herndon.
Herndon had 4 sons who she is very proud of and says they are all successful. She still attends church and loves to play board games.
Congratulations Claribel Herndon on celebrating a Happy 104th Birthday!!!
