Patricia Ann Campbell Woods

Patricia Ann Campbell Woods, age 81, departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Haywood Community Hospital in Brownsville, TN. Funeral Services for Mrs. Woods will be conducted on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN with Rev. Richard Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, January 5, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

Patricia was born on May 20, 1942, in Brownsville, TN to Elgie Campbell and Donie Moss Campbell. She retired from the Haywood County School System where she worked as a Teachers Aide.  She was a Baptist in faith and throughout the years attended Poplar Corner Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. She loved going to church when she was able. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, growing flowers and working in the yard. Family was important to her, and she loved them dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Shappley of Brownsville, TN; one grandchild, Britney Shappley Robertson (Mark) and one great-grandchild, Mattie Robertson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Woods; her parents, Elgie and Donie Moss Campbell, and one brother, French Campbell.

The family has requested memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
