Ford provides updates On BlueOval City
STANTON, Tenn. – A community impact meeting regarding BlueOval City happened Wednesday.
Ford shared updates on the project and those in attendance heard from Kel Kearns, the plant manager.
BlueOval City will be a campus re-imagining how electric vehicles and the batteries that power them are designed and manufactured.
Ford says its vision is to lead the shift to an electrified America and a vibrant future committed to manufacturing and innovation, communities, opportunity for all, and sustainability.
BlueOval City in Stanton will be among the largest auto manufacturing campuses in US history and Ford’s largest ever.
“Bill Ford said, and I really like the way he said it, he said it’s an EV revolution. It’s not an evolution. And so the biggest change that’s happened to the auto industry since Ford invented the moving assembly line,” Kearns said.
Ford broke ground in 2022 and construction is on track for production to begin in 2025.
