Woman arrested in Crockett Co. after endangering life of juvenile
FROM THE CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT:
WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER ENDANGERING LIFE OF JUVENILE
Cassie Miller, 36, was arrested today for aggravated child abuse, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
Crockett County Deputies responded immediately to the scene of a reported domestic in progress. During our investigation, we discovered this incident began as a domestic argument and escalated by a juvenile being on top of the car while Ms. Miller drove recklessly down the road in a fit of rage. Thankfully, the juvenile escaped without any physical injuries but the emotional pain will remain. It is a violation of our policy and against the law to identify juvenile victims.
This incident was captured on video and District Attorney Fredrick Agee will be prosecuting the case. Ms. Miller remains in custody of Sheriff Klyce in the Crockett County Jail awaiting a bond.
If you are aware of juveniles being abused or living in unsafe conditions, please contact the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department and we will involve the Department of Children’s Services as well as the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
