Mary Edna (Westmoreland) Moore

Mary Edna (Westmoreland) Moore, age 85 of Jackson, passed away on January 7, 2024 in Jackson.

Mary was born on February 13, 1938 in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late R. C. and Edna Webb Westmoreland. She was educated in the city schools and attended Lambuth University before she married her husband, Tony Moore, Sr. She was baptized at an early age and growing up she attended the former Highland Church of Christ and later the Allen and Edgewood Church of Christ. Mary retired after 25+ years as a photographer for Olan Mills. She will be remembered as a generous, giving soul who loved her family and especially her granddog, Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Lee Moore, Sr.; her parents, R. C. and Edna Westmoreland; and her brother, R.C. (Chester) Westmoreland, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Moore McBride (Steve), Tony Lee Moore, Jr., and Roy Wesley Moore (Lisa); her grandchildren, Dawn Lenard (Brian), Amber McBride, Mary Beth Couch (Alan), Jon Haydn Moore (Kat), Chelsea Moore, Langdon Moore, Corynn York (Randy), and Lexie Downs (Jake); and her great grandchildren, Hannah Lenard and Tyler Couch.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am until the time of the service.
