US’s first macaron vending machine now available in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. – The first exclusive macaron vending machine in the US has opened in Jackson!
A ribbon cutting was held Friday at Catbird Studio where the machine is located.
It is the brainchild of Raina Schultz, owner of Sprinkle Me Sugar Bakery.
There are new flavors offered each month. This month’s flavor is the “LOLO.”
It’s named after and inspired by a local music artist. The macaron features lavender, buttercream, and lemon.
“We found out we were pregnant with our twin boys and I, you know, dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety, I taught myself how to bake when I started staying home with them. And that was always my goal to learn how to make French macarons, and it’s something I’ve loved making ever since,” Schultz said.
Schultz originally fell in love with macarons when in Paris for a wedding anniversary and says bringing that taste home to Jackson is a dream come true.
The address of Catbird Studio is 2100 Pleasant Plains Extension Suite G, Jackson, TN 38305.
