Lexington Police shed light on Saturday’s shooting

LEXINGTON, Tenn.– We are following up with a shooting that took place Saturday evening.
We were informed by WBBJ-7 Eyewitness News tipsters of a shooting that occurred at Walmart on Church Street in Lexington.
According to the Lexington Police Department’s social media page, one person was injured following the incident.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, suffered non- life -threatening injuries.
That person was allegedly an employee at Walmart and was airlifted to an area hospital.
Lexington Police did inform us that they would patrol Walmart’s parking lot for the next 2-3 days.
Officers are currently investigating this situation and are asking for help from the public regarding the persons who may be responsible.
