USJ to hold schoolwide open house on January 28

The following is a news release from the University School of Jackson:

Jackson, TN – University School of Jackson (USJ) is excited to invite the community to our Schoolwide Open House on Sunday, January 28, from 2 pm to 4 pm. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for prospective families, students, and community members to discover the distinctive features of our school.

The Open House will feature guided tours of both our Lower School Campus (Infants – 5th Grade) and our Middle/Upper School Campus (6th – 12 Grade), enabling visitors to experience the unique characteristics of each educational space. Additionally, bus tours will run through our athletic facilities, making stops at Kirkland Field at Carlock Stadium, the Lady Bruins Facility, and our new John H. Weston Golf and Tennis Facility.

Highlights of the USJ Schoolwide Open House:

Lower School Campus:
– Extra large classrooms clustered by grade
– Two gymnasiums
– Two outside playgrounds
– STEAM Lab
– Science Lab
– Eco-learning system that includes a pond and weather station
– A cafetorium that doubles as a cafeteria and auditorium with a stage
– Library/media center

Middle/Upper School:

– 500-seat performing arts center
– Four science labs
– STEAM/Robotics lab
– Extensive athletic facilities, including an indoor turf
– Strength & conditioning room
– Newly remodeled foyer
