‘Be a Voice for Your Child’ held Tuesday in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. – The “Be a Voice for Your Child” class was held Tuesday in Jackson.
It was at the Jackson-Madison County Health Department Conference Room and was for caregivers of children with disabilities to learn about their rights and resources.
It was led by Ashley Tomlin and Brittany Foster with Tennessee Child Care Resource and Referral Network.
Programs such as TEIS, ChildFind, TNSTEP, and CHANT were discussed.
“I always say that if you don’t know that you don’t know it, then how can you figure it out? So we definitely want to make families aware of the resources that are available and the resources that are available here in Jackson and the surrounding communities,” Tomlin said.
Tomlin shared that this information is important for all families, not just those with a child with disabilities because inclusivity should reach all environments.
