Local Red Cross receives $25,000 donation
JACKSON, Tenn. – The Midwest Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross recently received a $25,000 check from Kohl’s.
Kohl’s manager Matt Kent says the store is committed to helping communities thrive. So he is grateful to give.
Kohl’s has partnered with the Red Cross before, sending volunteers to help with the Sound the Alarm project, providing education on fire safety and helping install fire alarms.
“On those times when people have home fires or they experience flooding or the aftermath of tornadoes, this allows us to provide those care items and those short-term relief items that everyone so desperately needs,” said David Hicks, the Executive Director of the Midwest Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The money will be used locally and allow the Red Cross to provide disaster relief to local communities including Madison County and 13 additional counties.
