Book swap held Friday at Madison County winery
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Century Farm Winery held a Bottles and Books Book Swap Friday night in partnership with the Jackson-Madison County Library.
Those in attendance had the chance to make new friends and swap books with fellow book enthusiasts for free while enjoying desserts and wine. They also shared book reviews with others.
Social Media and Event Coordinator for the winery, Michele Hughey shared how the idea came about.
“We were both looking for something that was a little outside of the box, where we could bring our two communities together. And after talking with Shane, we kind of decided a book swap would be a good start. And so we get a diverse group of people that are going to bring a diverse kind of group of books, and we can all share different kinds of stories about them which is really exciting,” Hughey said.
Century Farm Winery says they are already looking to pair with the library again for another event.
