Dolly Parton will do doggy TV special

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Dolly Parton will host a variety special that features musical performances and a fashion runway – for dogs.

“Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala” will include performances of Parton songs with Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, Chris Janson, KC of KC and the Sunshine Band, and others to be named later.

Celebrities who will appear with their pets include Iain Armitage of “Young Sheldon,” Drew Barrymore, Kristen Chenoweth, Kristen Bell, Margaret Cho, Neil Patrick Harris and Jessica Simpson.

There also will be a runway with dogs showing off fashions from Parton’s Doggy Parton pet line. The special will air Feb. 21 on CBS.
