Residents relish one last visit with the Wienermobile

JACKSON, Tenn.—Some of you may remember the jingle, “My Bologna Has a First Name It’s O-S-C-A-R.”

And today was the last day the Wienermobile was in Jackson.

Visitors could check out the Wienermobile at the Kroger located on University Parkway today from 11 am to 5 pm.

Many came to see the iconic 27-foot hot dog on wheels. The original Wienermobile was built back in 1936.

Today, there are 6 Wienermobiles that travel the country promoting the Oscar Mayer brand.

Those who came out received a special souvenir and had the opportunity to learn more about the Wienermobile.

“I have seen it drive on the street as a child and I’ve always wanted to see the inside of it, so I feel like my childhood dreams were manifested today by seeing the Weinermobile,” one visitor said.

The next stop for the Wienermobile will be in Mt. Juliet, TN, on February 1st.
