Auditions for ‘Annie Jr.’ to be held February 1-2

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County School System is holding auditions for “Annie, Jr.”

All kindergarten through eighth students interested in the district-wide play are encouraged to audition.

You are asked to use the cafeteria entrance and no experience is required.

Fine arts are very important for classroom connections and can even increase test scores in the classroom.

“Annie is a wonderful story, a story all about hope, and the hope that tomorrow brings with each new day. So we’re excited to present this to the district,” said Emily Stutts, a fifth-grade teacher at Thelma Barker Elementary, who is directing “Annie, Jr.”

This is the first kindergarten through eighth district-wide musical that Jackson-Madison County has done.

Auditions are February 1 and February 2 at Northeast Middle School at 3:30 p.m.
