Authorities say wallet found, search continuing for 62-year-old Charles Baldridge
OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — The search for missing 62-year-old Charles Baldridge, of Troy, continued for the fifth day on Friday.
Baldridge went missing on January 9.

Obion County law enforcement says that Baldridge’s wallet was recovered Wednesday by the Madison County Swift Water Rescue crews about 100-150 yards from the crash site.
This all comes after almost a week-long search since the discovery of Baldridge’s vehicle found in a drainage ditch last week.
Friday, crews searched from 45 West to where Hoosier Creek meets the Obion River.
“It’s about a 2.3-mile section hitting both sides of the banks, hitting in the water with the swift water guys that are back today,” said Lt. Joe Key, with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office.
The Obion County Sheriff’s Office says they have included an airboat and a mud motor boat from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency covering the areas from Old Turnpike Road upstream into Hoosier Creek.

“We’ve called the chopper back in today. They’re flying the area all over again and we’ve actually suggested for them to fly the Obion River down towards Bogota if for the possibility that he’s made it into the river,” Key said.
They plan to clear the entire channel to the Obion River.
“We’re remaining hopeful,” Key said.
After efforts conclude Friday, Key says they’ll have a better idea of where the search goes from here.
