Adamsville Police investigate ‘self-inflicted’ pedestrian incident

ADAMSVILLE, Tenn. — Investigators from the Adamsville Police Department wrap up a preliminary investigation on what they call a “pedestrian self-inflicted injury accident.”

The accident refers to a pedestrian that was hit by a motor vehicle on Highway 22 Sunday afternoon, who was left with serious bodily injuries.

In a social media post on Facebook, Adamsville PD said that area of town was secure and the roadway was completely opened back up.

Authorities have not confirmed any further details at this time.

This incident comes less than a week after Lexington Police investigated a similar occurrence, which also took place on Highway 22.
