Jackson physician Dr. John Sparrow dies at 67
JACKSON, Tenn. — Exceptional, funny, and kind were just a few words that were used to describe a great man.
Dr. John Sparrow, a physician in plastic and reconstructive surgery, passed away at the age of 67 on February 2.
Sparrow served for several years as a prominent provider at the Jackson Clinic.
He served on the medical staff of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital since 1994.
During this time, Sparrow transformed many lives with his precision and commitment.
Sparrow approached each of his cases with empathy and professionalism.
Sparrow’s funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 6, at 7 in the evening in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Home.
“Our last adventure was last year when we went to Italy. He has always been so much fun to travel with, you know, and we just tried everything together,” said David Aherrera, a friend of Dr. Sparrow.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 8, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, Mississippi.
