A nephrologist treats medical diseases of the kidneys and associated body parts, particularly diseases leading to kidney failure. Most diseases affecting the kidney are not limited to the organ itself but are systemic disorders, which requires a nephrologist to understand how the kidneys relate to the body as a whole. Nephrology diagnoses and treats kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, and hypertension, among many other kidney conditions.

The Jackson Clinic is a multi-specialty group practice of more than 165 providers in 25 specialties and subspecialties. For more information visit our website at www.jacksonclinic.com.
