Clinton Wayne (Bub) Lively

Clinton Wayne (Bub) Lively, age 59 of Medon, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Bub was born on July 7, 1964 in Bolivar, TN, the son of Faye Lively Cox and the late S. Clinton Lively. Bub loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or searching for arrow heads and other artifacts. He loved his job and was a great asset to the nuclear power industry for many years.

Bub was preceded in death by his father, S. Clinton Lively.

Bub is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Morehead Lively of Medon; his children, Amy Lively Davis (Eric) of Maryville, TN and Kyle Lively of Mercer, TN; his grandchildren, Warren, Emmett, Elsie, Ava, Addison, and Grayson; his mother, Faye Lively Cox (Jimmy) of Theodore, AL; and his sister, Angela Harris (Tommy) of Finger, TN.

Funeral services for Bub will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Rev. Don Carver officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Springs Cemetery near Medon. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers to serve will be Kyle Lively, Steve Brown, Donald Sterling, Alex Blackwell, Eric Davis, William New, Bird Blaylock, Bo Scott, and James Melton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Bub’s memory be made to Kid’s Hunting for a Cure, a non-profit organization which provides financial support to research hospitals/foundations dedicated to developing cures for cancer and childhood diseases. Monies are raised by children and adults through community-sponsored outdoor events designed for youth. Kids Hunting for a Cure is set up to donate its proceeds to Children Hospitals including St. Jude’s and to local research hospitals and foundations, upon approval of the Board of Directors.
