Vehicle collision halts morning traffic in north Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — First responders were on the scene of a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning in the Hub City.
Tipsters alerted us to the collision, which occurred along the 2000 block of North Highland Avenue, near George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
Our crews arrived to the scene around 10 a.m. to find two vehicles heavily damaged. A black Dodge Ram could be seen with damage to the rear, along with a silver GMC Denali further down the road, that appeared to have lost the front driver’s side tire in the wreck.
According to a witness involved in the wreck, a person was transported from the scene by ambulance, however the extent of any possible injuries is unknown at this time.
Traffic was halted in the area as crews worked to clear the scene of debris.
