Gibson County home declared public nuisance
UPDATE (2/12/24): District Attorney speaks out after Gibson Co. property declared public nuisance
EARLIER STORY:
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A Gibson County home has been deemed a public nuisance following two separate incidents.
Friday, a request was granted to remove all persons from 120 Eldad Road temporarily.
This request stems from a December incident where a deputy and suspect were shot, and an early January barricade that led to the capture of two murder suspects.
“The property has been a magnet for adult adolescents involved in criminal activity. We have been told this may be the first time in Gibson County the District Attorney’s Office has closed a residential property by order of the Circuit Court. Going forward our office will not hesitate to close properties under the law that disrupt the peaceful quality of life for the People we serve,” said Frederick H. Agee, the District Attorney General.
