Car break-ins under investigation at Jackson apartments
JACKSON, Tenn. — A local resident reaches out to us regarding cars being broken into in their residential area.
Late Friday night, February 9, a few residents of Bradford Chase Apartments reported cars break-ins.
One resident provided us with footage of their car and their neighbors cars being broken into.
“Well they actually tried to steal mine, they tore up the bottom part of the car. They cut my wire, I mean just destroyed mine, I had to take it to the shop and it broke out several windows. They broke out the back glass of mine,” the victim shared.
This isn’t the first time this happened to residents in this area. There was an attempted car break-in in early August of 2023. Residents say they had to contact the Jackson Police Department.
“They came out. They came out Friday and he took a little. He did his little thing, he didn’t take pictures, he gave me a claim number and all that stuff,” the victim stated.
The victim says the accused burglars left behind a knife, and it has now been recovered by police.
“But that was about it. It was a knife laying in the seat,” the victim said. “He [JPD officer] did take the knife with him. So I guess he’s going to try and retrieve those prints. Whether its getting anything off of it, cause in the tape it looks like they were wearing gloves.”
At the time no one has been arrested for the car break-ins.
Bradford Chase Apartment Homes will now have police officers on the premises.
