Fred Henry Anthony

Fred Henry Anthony, age 76, resident of Henning, Tennessee, departed this life Monday morning, February 12, 2024 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Fred was born November 23, 1947 Somerville, Tennessee, the son of the late Claude Anthony and Dollie White Anthony. He was employed as a farmhand for many years and enjoyed watching Western movies, reading Western books, Civil War history and Hank Williams.

Mr. Anthony is survived by his daughter, Sandra Anthony; two sons, James Anthony (Amy) and Fred Anthony; four sisters, Marie McGary of Terrell, TX, Lena Mae Sweeten of Laconia, TN, Linnie Wadell of Mason, TN and Virginia Smith of Kaufman, TX; his brother, James E. Anthony of Mason, TN; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and one sister.

A visitation for Mr. Anthony will be from 12 to 2 P.M. Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Kevin Treadway officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery at Williston.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be James Anthony, Jr., William Anthony, Chris Gray, Chris Everett, Dalton Roark and Reuben Meyer.
