Local group ‘Shares the Love’ with kids at JMC General Hospital on Valentine’s Day
JACKSON, Tenn.–A group paid a visit to the children’s wing of Jackson-Madison County Hospital Wednesday.
The ‘Share the Love’ Project made a stop at the hospital. The Ladies of the East #90 have been collecting items to give to children in the hospital, and were able to make their special delivery.
Kids received items like coloring books, crayons, snacks and bubbles.
This is the seventh year of the ‘Share the Love’ Project.
“It’s great because we actually get to do something for the kids because sometimes we feel like they get overlooked and especially in these types of situations. I know it’s scary and just to have somebody there to be like ‘Hey, here’s a little something for you on this holiday, you’re still being thought of’… It’s a great feeling,” said Laterika Turner, Worthy Matron of the Ladies of the East #90
Turner says the Ladies of the East #90 perform community service acts every month and give back as much as they can.
