LIFELINE’s Dyersburg center had their drive last Saturday.

Jackson’s center hosted their drive Thursday, February 15, from 9 in the morning until 6 this evening, at 183 Sterling Farms Drive.

Donors registered to win a one night stay at DoubleTree Hotel and dinner for two at Twist, a dozen red roses from J. Kent Freeman Floral Design and Gift Company, dinner for two at Old Town Spaghetti Store, and Ronaldo and Julie Vos jewelry from Robert’s Jewelers.

All donors received a t-shirt and a sweet treat from Two Sister’s Bakery.

“When you donate blood, it only takes about thirty to forty five minutes from start to finish,” said Melinda Reid, LIFELINE’s Marketing Manager. “The act of donating, when you’re in the chair, is usually about eight to ten minutes, so I know that we’re all busy, but if you could spare thirty to forty five minutes, you make a huge local impact and you could be saving the life of a loved one.”

LIFELINE provides blood services to 21 West Tennessee counties, including 18 hospitals, 14 emergency helicopter service locations, and one ground ambulance service.
