Traffic stop leads to arrest of wanted suspect, 1/4lb of meth discovered

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — A traffic stop results in the arrest of a wanted individual and the recovery of methamphetamine.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th, 29th, 30th Districts, on Thursday morning, agents were searching for a person wanted on numerous drug felonies.

The task force says a vehicle was observed attempting to hide from agents, and a traffic stop was initiated.

According to the Drug Task Force, the wanted individual was found crouched down in the back seat.

The person was arrested and a probable cause search was initiated, and the task force says around a quarter pound of meth was located in the vehicle.

One person, who was not been identified at this time, was arrested and is in custody on state and federal drug charges.

The state charges are being prosecuted by Danny Goodman, Jr.’s office of the District Attorney General, 29th Judicial District.
