Comfort Keepers celebrates national recognition amid National Caregivers Day

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local home care provider recently received two national awards.

Comfort Keepers has received the 2024 Best of Home Care Provider of Choice award from Home Care Pulse.

It’s their 8th year to win in a row.

Comfort Keepers also won the 2024 Caring Superstar award from Caring.com.

Beyond awards, February 16 marks National Caregivers Day. It’s a time to recognize all caregivers, paid or unpaid.

Caregiving is tough. It’s emotional, physical and hard to keep up with.

Above bring purely medical, caregiving is companionship.

Comfort Keepers started in Jackson in 2003 with a mission to help seniors live their best lives at home and be healthy, safe, happy, and engaged with life.

“One of our our goals is to elevate the human spirit, which means make every day a day worth living,” said owner Leslie Bibb. “So in addition to cleaning house or helping with the bath, or doing groceries or whatever, we also try to bring joy.”

Comfort Keepers provided fruit, drinks, cookies, and bags of goodies to their caregivers to celebrate them.

However, Bibb reminds us that our thankfulness should go beyond this one day.

Caregivers can often go under appreciated — but they are vital.

So here’s a reminder to show any caregivers you know that they are valued and appreciated.
