33-year-old Bradley J. Scott barricaded himself inside of a residence Tuesday after the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department arrived to serve him a warrant for threatening the lives of law enforcement on multiple occasions.

“We have been in contact off and on with him here today, and he continues to make threats to law enforcement officers,” said Stephen Sutton, the Sheriff’s Department’s Public Information Officer.

Officials say they have been looking for Scott for quite some time.

“This is the first time authorities have been able to make contact with the subject,” Sutton said. “He’s been on the run for three weeks.”

Shortly before 11 Tuesday morning, the Sheriff’s Department arrived to the 900 block of Highway 152 to serve Scott a warrant for the related threats.

They say Scott barricaded himself inside of the home for more than two hours.

During that time, officials asked citizens to avoid the area of Highway 188 and 152.

Additional agencies were called to assist in the situation.

Later Tuesday afternoon, Scott was taken into custody.

Authorities said the goal is to take the necessary steps to ensure everyone is safe.

A $150,000 bond was set for the warrants served Tuesday, in addition to a bond for a probation violation from a separate incident set at $2,500.
