Upcoming Christian theatre production to serve as fundraiser for Church organization

PRESS RELEASE FROM KONTAKTMISSION USA:

“A hilarious and uplifting Christian comedy theatre production for the whole family to enjoy.”

Fish-Eyes written by Ted Swartz and Lee Eshleman, is a two-man comedy, accompanied by a tiny bit of drama, that brings to life Peter & Andrew’s encounters with Jesus. Pete and Andy experience everything from anguish to exhilaration as they follow The Christ, beginning when they are first called until the joyous day when they see the risen Lord. It is a modern take on what captures the hearts and minds of Peter and Andrew as they walk step-in-step with the Messiah. The audience will see the Gospel in a fresh and different way than they may have experienced it before. The show is one hour long with a 20-minute intermission.

This is a play written by Ted Swartz and Lee Eshleman in 2001. South Creek Theatre Productions has performed at multiple places all over the country with heartfelt, wonderful response.

Clay Elliott: Professional stage actor with a long list of theatrical credits but his ADHD won’t allow him to quote them all in one sitting. Plays Andy. Is the Director of Pastoral Ministries and Prayer for Kontaktmission USA.

Jeff Howell: Professional actor with a long list of theatrical credits, some that intersect with Clay, some that don’t. Plays Pete, not re-Pete.

Christie Elliott: Stage Manager Extraordinaire. Takes full responsibility to get Clay to the theatre on time.

Renée Brooks: The babysitter, er, rather, the Director of our merry little troupe. Also, known as, The Point of Contact.

These 2 performances on March 8th & 9th are a fundraising event for Kontaktmission USA, a European Church Planting Missions Organization started by Europeans. Europe is now the least Christian continent in the entire world with only 2.5% Bible-believing Christians, so Kontaktmission sends missionaries to learn the language, understand the culture, and be placed on a native team already doing church growth and ministry. The hope is to plant more Bible-believing churches all across Europe to the ends of the Earth. The Gospel is desperately needed in Europe. People’s eternity is at stake.

Quotes from audience members:

“Well…this was just fabulous. The two of you are so good together and so much hard work was put into this.” – Ms. Becky Fly (IMDb Hollywood Actress)

“At first I wasn’t too excited about going to this cause I really don’t like theatre that much. But I freaking loved every minute of it and want to see it again to catch what I missed the first time.”

-Not a theatre guy…Josh Elliott (Owner: Zealous Art Studio and Tattoo)

“It opened up my eyes to understand in greater detail what the disciples must have really been thinking.” -Chuck Lovelace (Retired theatre actor)

About the Troupe: The 4 members of this Troupe have well over 100 years of combined theatre experience. From acting in countless shows, stage managing, directing, assistant directing, professional dancing and choreography, building and moving sets, creating and maintaining props for small and large productions, to lighting and sound cues, they have seen every side of the ins and outs of theatre. They are so excited to share their gifting from the Lord with audiences of all ages.

Tickets are on sale now for $12!
