Woman arrested after weekend stabbing in Hardin County
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities confirm a domestic situation led to a stabbing over the weekend in Hardin County.
A WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipster reported to us that the incident occurred Saturday, involving a husband and wife at a residence outside of Savannah city limits.
According to Hardin County Sheriff Johnny Alexander, 57-year-old Bonnie Jones was arrested Tuesday for aggravated assault.
Sheriff Alexander says Jones claims the victim had been “beating on her,” which led to her stabbing him.
The stabbing victim was transported by a medical helicopter to a hospital in the Nashville area, and Sheriff Alexander could not confirm the victim’s current health status at this time.
Jones was booked into the Hardin County jail Tuesday afternoon, and records available online indicate she has since been released on bond.
