Caywood students receive new shoes thanks to ‘Soles For Little Souls’ project

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A group of local students received brand new pairs of shoes courtesy of a local sorority chapter.

“Soles for Little Souls” is an annual community service project sponsored by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.

The purpose is to partner with a local community agency or school serving students to provide them with shoes.

This year, the Nu Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Jackson, TN “adopted” Lexington’s Caywood Elementary School, where representatives say the “Minutemen” were super excited to receive their new pairs of shoes.

Nu Sigma Alumnae Chapter representatives Amber Day, Lekichia Franklin, Amber Staten, and Angela Spann visited the school to help deliver the shoes.
