Fundraiser brings island vibes to the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local event guarantees to take you to the beach.
The Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse hosted its 30th annual Blue Suede Dinner and Auction.
The theme this year was ‘Be the Sunshine.’
Participants were encouraged to wear their beach attire.
Along with dinner being served, there was a silent and live auction.
All proceeds went to providing services for children across West Tennessee.
This allows them to help parents meet the practical needs of preserving and improving the quality of family life.
“Now we’re in 20 counties in West Tennessee. We have 23 centers and so that speaks to the foundation that they laid for us,” said Maddie Hefner, Events and Fundraising Coordinator.
This years event also included a balcony beach party.
