We traced the information to the scene of the shooting. It was here where we briefly spoke to Huntingdon Chief of Police, Walter Smothers, who told us details about the shooting.

We were told that the shooting happened at Hillcourt Apartments in the 500 block.

It was apparently a domestic dispute between two individuals, one living there, and one visitor, that resulted in the shooting.

The shooting resulted in the individual visiting the residence receiving a gunshot wound to the foot.

We were told by a neighbor, after the shooting, the alleged shooter received a ride from a friend to the Walmart located in Huntingdon.

It was here where deputies with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department would respond in force but did not find the suspect.

Viewers even told us the Walmart was evacuated at one point, however, we have no official source that confirms that. Walmart was not the only ones with a response to the shooting, Huntingdon High School also went on a soft lockdown for a brief period of time after the shooting.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, Chief Smothers told us the suspect had been apprehended in Hardin County and placed under arrest. The name of that person has not been released at this time.
